Good morning everyone. Beautiful day, kind of, not really.

But yeah, we're gonna start off with

Oh my gosh, I'm so bad at drinking hot stuff.

I'm gonna get started with some breakfast.

I woke up with this really random craving.

It's called which translates to rice burger.

I know it sounds a little weird, but it tastes so good.

And I used to eat this when I was in college,

when I was living back in Korea.

And I totally forgot about it, but I dreamt about it.

And now I have to make it.

My stomach is going crazy.

This reminds me of my college days.

I actually loved eating food like this where it was just packaged very compact

and you can eat it really fast and easy on the go

and I don't have to like sit down and eat.

My closest friends attended other schools and I didn't really have friends at my own college

because one, I'm just a very like shy and introverted person

and another reason is and I think this is like a big factor is

I entered college in the fall but in Korea

The first semester actually starts in the springtime,

so by the time I went to college, my class of students were already there for a full semester.

So they had already made friends and whatnot,

and so by the time I was there, I was kind of like the new kid.

So yeah, I would say for the most part, like 90% of my college, I ate by myself.

And so I just liked having things like this where I could just like eat casually,

sitting outside or in between classes.

there's like kind of no point in me going because I don't really know anyone.

I was pretty much a loner in college, which is fine.

I feel like I learned to really depend on myself.

At first it was kind of weird eating alone,

and then after a while, like, it was the best.

I would just like eat, watch my Korean drama on my phone or study, things like that.

我就只是吃吃东西，用手机看韩剧或者学习，诸如此类的事情。

Today's menu is mapo tofu, also known as mapo tofu.

今天的菜单是麻婆豆腐，也叫麻婆豆腐。

I think there's a few different ways to make it.

我觉得有几种不同的做法。

I'm just gonna wing it.

我就随便发挥了。

When I was younger, I used to eat hot Cheetos with rice and ham.

我小时候，常常把辣味奇多和米饭、火腿一起吃。

Did anyone else do that or was that just me?

还有别人这样做过吗，还是只有我这样？

I would get a piece of ham, I would put rice and lay a piece of hot Cheeto, wrap it and eat it.

我会拿一片火腿，放上米饭，再放一根辣味奇多，卷起来吃掉。

And I thought it was the most delicious thing ever.

我觉得那是世界上最好吃的东西。

I'm gonna try it.

我要试试看。

One of my favorite snacks to make is chili oil dumplings.

我最喜欢做的零食之一是红油饺子。

I get these at H Mart.

我在H Mart买这些。

In goes the mango chunks.

Slices.

of this while watching my current drama.

一边看我现在追的剧。

It's been a while since I watched Korean drama but the one I'm watching right now is 39 and it's so sad.

我有一阵子没看韩剧了，但我现在看的这部是《三十九》，太悲伤了。

because bajeon goes really well with bakgoli, which is Korean rice wine.

因为煎饼和米酒真的很搭，也就是韩国米酒。

I'm gonna be doing a little solo drinking.

我要一个人小酌一下。

I wanted to make another anju.

我想再做一道下酒菜。

Anju is food that you eat while you're drinking.

下酒菜就是喝酒时吃的东西。

This is called muk. In English, it's acorn jelly.

这个叫橡子凉粉。英文里叫橡子果冻。

the onions, carrots.

洋葱、胡萝卜。

Also cut a little bit of red peppers.

再切一点红椒。

soy sauce, sesame oil, some hot pepper powder, sesame seeds,

酱油、香油、一些辣椒粉、芝麻，
